Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how bekje (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit bekje.com. This site is an informational landing page for the bekje brand.
Data controller
The data controller for this website is bekje. You can contact us at enquiries@bekje.com.
What we collect
We do not use contact forms, user accounts, or marketing analytics scripts on this website. We may receive:
- Email correspondence — if you contact us at enquiries@bekje.com, we receive the content of your message and your email address.
- Server and security logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings to deliver the site and protect against abuse.
- Aggregate traffic statistics — Cloudflare provides us with aggregated metrics in its dashboard (such as request counts, estimated unique visitors, and country-level traffic). These are generated at Cloudflare’s network edge for site operation and security. They are not the same as browser-based marketing analytics such as Google Analytics, and we do not use them to profile individual visitors for advertising.
Legal basis
Where applicable under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
| Processing activity | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to email enquiries | Legitimate interests (handling business correspondence) and/or steps prior to a contract at your request |
| Server, security, and bot-management logs | Legitimate interests (operating and securing the website) |
| Cloudflare aggregate Traffic statistics | Legitimate interests (understanding site usage and maintaining service quality) |
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set advertising, analytics, or social-media tracking cookies in our site code. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies when you visit the site. These are required to operate and protect the service.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
Bot management and abuse protection (Cloudflare) | Up to 30 minutes | Strictly necessary |
__cflb |
Load balancing for site availability (Cloudflare) | Session | Strictly necessary |
Because we do not use non-essential tracking cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner at this time. Cloudflare Traffic statistics (edge-level request and visitor estimates) do not require analytics scripts in our site code. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics (a separate JavaScript beacon for page views and Core Web Vitals). If we enable Web Analytics or add other analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and request consent where required by law.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries you send us by email.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the website through our hosting provider.
We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, Cloudflare provides appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses under its Customer Data Processing Addendum.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes technical data on our behalf as a service provider, including aggregate traffic analytics shown in the Cloudflare dashboard. We do not embed third-party marketing analytics, advertising pixels, or social widgets on this site.
Data retention
- Email enquiries: retained for up to 24 months after our last correspondence, unless a longer period is required for legal or accounting purposes.
- Cloudflare logs: typically retained for a limited period (often around 30 days, depending on Cloudflare’s policies and our account settings).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, and certain US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact enquiries@bekje.com.
If you are in the UK, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you are in the EEA, you may contact your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
